Responsibilities

• Detect immigration and customs violations by questioning individuals and inspecting documents and possessions.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using various patrol methods.
• Interpret tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Perform farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks.
• Patrol international boundaries and waterways using vehicles, horses, vessels and other assets.
