Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of immigration and customs violations.
• Inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders.
• Maintaining surveillance using assets such as vehicles, horses, vessels, watercraft, ATVs, and motorcycles.
• Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways to fulfill the USBP mission.
