U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking Border Patrol Agents to join a large federal law enforcement team. The BPA role offers full-time career opportunities with competitive base pay and strong federal benefits.

Typical duties include patrolling borders, inspecting documents, preventing illegal entry, and employing a range of assets. Recruitment and retention incentives may total up to $50,000, with prioritization of certain locations.

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience demonstrating leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
• Combination of general work experience and education may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violations and inspecting documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using various assets.
• Interpreting tracks and evidence of illegal entry; performing checks and patrols.
• Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using available assets.
