Job summary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hiring Border Patrol Agents (BPA) at full-time, entry to mid-level, career positions. Education or experience in public safety may qualify. Along with base pay, CBP offers extensive federal benefits and recruitment/retention incentives.

Duties include border surveillance, questioning individuals, and enforcing immigration laws. Incentives include up to $20,000 recruitment and up to $30,000 retention, with location options across the U.S.

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience or education substituting for a bachelor's degree.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Combination of general work experience and education submitted with your application.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders.
• Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using various assets.
