Job summary

West Marine is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and a positive shopping experience. You will engage customers, recommend products for boating needs, and process transactions while maintaining inventory and displays.

Responsibilities include ringing up purchases, assisting with returns, managing pricing and signage, and supporting BOPIS and ship-from-store. Prior retail or boating knowledge is a plus, with flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous boating and/or retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication and active listening skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers to understand their needs.
• Provide product knowledge and suggestive selling to enhance the boating experience.
• Assist with inventory, pricing, displays, and store cleanliness.
• Handle cash and transactions, returns, and register operations.
• Support BOPIS and buy online ship from store processes.
