Job summary

West Marine is seeking a Sales Lead to drive store performance through leadership and exceptional customer service. You will plan, coordinate, and manage daily operations, help achieve sales goals, and maintain inventory accuracy.

The role blends supervisory duties with advanced selling skills to strengthen customer relationships and promote loyalty. As a key team member, you will train Crew Members, manage front-end activities, and ensure a safe, compliant, and welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of related retail experience preferred.
• Strong customer service mindset.
• Effective communication and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meeting or exceeding annual sales and contribution goals.
• Lead by example and train Crew Members for store operations and service.
• Oversee front-end activities including greeting customers and processing transactions.
• Develop strategies to improve store performance and shrink reduction.
• Provide high-level customer support with boating product knowledge.
• Protect crew and customer safety and maintain a clean store environment.
• Support Omni-Fulfillment operations and add-on sales.
