Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Clayton, NC is seeking a Facilities Engineer focused on maintaining and improving the BMS system to meet current and future regulatory and operational needs. The role emphasizes reliability, collaboration, and compliant utilities in a high‑stakes pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

You will lead IA projects, coordinate with operations, and develop maintenance plans while coaching engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of engineering and HVAC/utilities troubleshooting in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing.
Knowledgeable in Siemens BMS - Insight & Siemens Historian – InfoCenter; SAP and MS Office preferred.
Proven project management and organizational skills; able to plan, execute, and close projects.
Customer-focused, understands internal/external customer needs and aligns work to requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute plans to maintain and improve the BMS system.
Develop IA project ideas and prepare PPM submittals.
Schedule and coordinate plans in alignment with operations schedules.
Support IA projects and process improvement plans.
Develop and maintain system documents, including specifications and maintenance plans.
Coach and train Facility Engineers and Facility Maintenance Technicians.
Apply lean tools within problem solving, project and change management.
Coach and train users of the BMS.
