Job summary

JLSa2, a seed-stage venture in South San Francisco, seeks a Shipping, Receiving & Facilities Associate to coordinate logistics for laboratory teams and manage receiving, inventory, waste pickups, and gas supplies. You will independently assess shipment requirements, select carriers, and coordinate execution with limited supervision.

Responsibilities include managing documentation, coordinating hazardous waste, and improving procedures while ensuring compliance and timely replenishment.

Qualifications

• Three to five or more years of shipping, receiving, logistics, or facilities operations.
• Experience coordinating regulated domestic and international shipments with proper permits and labeling.
• DOT hazardous materials training or ability to complete it before duties.
• Strong organizational, documentation, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic and international shipping logistics.
• Review shipment requests and select carriers and packaging.
• Prepare permits, documentation, labels, and track shipments.
• Receive, inspect, store, and distribute materials; manage inventory.
• Improve shipping procedures and documentation systems.
