Job summary

Amgen is seeking a District Sales Manager to cover Toledo, Akron, Canton, Lorain and Youngstown in the United States. You will be the liaison to medical professionals, delivering clinical knowledge of Amgen products and leading district teams to achieve sales targets.

The role requires 2 years of managerial experience, with multiple education pathways and a strong emphasis on collaboration across Marketing, Finance and other business units. Amgen supports flexible, remote and hybrid work models.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Sales/Marketing experience.
• Master’s degree and 6 years of Sales/Marketing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Sales/Marketing experience.
• Associate’s degree and 10 years of Sales/Marketing experience.
• High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Sales/Marketing experience.
• 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals.
• Lead district teams to maximize performance and meet sales targets.
• Screen, interview, hire candidates.
• Ensure training compliance.
• Coach and develop staff for future roles.
• Conduct annual and ongoing performance reviews and assessments.
• Coordinate with district and cross‑functional teams (Marketing, Finance, other BUs).
• Share best practices with direct reports and peers.
• Develop local Opinion Leader relationships to achieve objectives.
