Job summary

Sartorius is seeking a Field Applications Specialist for the Bioprocessing team to support downstream processing solutions across the Mid-Atlantic/Southeast US. The role is remote, with substantial travel to customer sites, and involves evaluating, trialing, and training on centrifugation, columns, chromatography, and TFF systems.

The ideal candidate will have a Life Sciences degree (Master’s preferred), 3+ years in downstream process support, and hands-on experience with biologics development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in application support, technical support, field applications, or related roles within downstream processing environments.
• Experience in biologics manufacturing; exposure to cell and gene therapy is a plus.
• 1+ years of in-depth knowledge of biologics process development and scale-up for monoclonal antibodies; other modalities beneficial.
• Willingness to travel >50% to support customer activities.

Responsibilities

• Support customer evaluations, application assessments, and technical consultations by translating process requirements into appropriate product and workflow recommendations.
• Execute application trials, validation activities, and customer training by designing, coordinating, and documenting evaluation plans and outcomes.
• Troubleshoot technical inquiries and product performance issues with cross-functional coordination.
• Provide application insights during opportunity development to improve technical fit of solutions.
• Capture customer feedback and competitive intelligence to inform portfolio enhancements.
• Train the Sales team and other Field Application Specialists on assigned technologies and processes.
• Train customers on new technologies and support start-up activities.
• Support Quality investigations and provide monthly territory activity reports.
