Job summary

Syner-G is seeking a Project Manager to oversee and manage construction and engineering projects from planning through commissioning and closeout. This role coordinates project activities, maintaining schedules and budgets, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with quality and regulatory expectations.

Travel to client sites may be required up to 100%, based on project demands and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• 4–9 years of experience in project engineering or project management in industrial/chemical/biotech environments.
• Experience managing capital projects from design through construction and commissioning.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams (GC, CM, mechanical, electrical).
• Experience documenting and commissioning building systems (HVAC, emergency power, UPS, lab gases, RODI water, boilers, steam).
• Experience site walks, field issue resolution, and progress tracking.
• Experience preparing daily reports, photo documentation, and progress tracking.
• Experience reviewing safety documentation with EHS teams.

Responsibilities

• Keep the Project Director informed of progress, risks, and issues, and provide mitigation strategies.
• Review technical submissions from Architectural and Engineering firms (MEP, structural drawings, specs).
• Respond to and manage RFIs, submittals, and clarifications.
• Assist with start-up and close-out checklists.
• Read and manage project plans, contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and shop drawings.
• Maintain accurate as-built documentation.
• Coordinate and support turnover to facilities operations.
