Job summary

Syner-G is seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction and engineering projects from planning through commissioning and closeout. This role coordinates project activities, manages schedules and budgets, and ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with quality and regulatory expectations.

The position requires travel to client sites up to 100%, strong communication, and experience with MS Project and construction management software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• 4–9 years of experience in project engineering or project management, preferably in industrial, chemical, petrochemical, biotech, or related environments.
• Experience coordinating contractors across multiple disciplines (GC, CM, mechanical, electrical, etc.).
• Experience executing projects within active operating facilities.

Responsibilities

• Keep the Project Director informed of project progress, risks, and issues, and provide recommended solutions or mitigation strategies.
• Review technical submissions from A&E firms, including MEP drawings, structural drawings, and construction specifications.
• Respond to and manage construction communications such as RFIs, submittals, and technical clarifications.
• Assist with preparation and execution of job start-up and close-out checklists.
• Read, interpret, and manage project plans, specifications, contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and other project documents.
• Maintain accurate and complete as-built project documentation.
