Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Customer Service (Biometric Enrollment) Specialist to welcome and assist individuals pursuing lawful immigration. At the USCIS Application Support Center, you will greet applicants, guide them through biometrics appointments and ensure a respectful, smooth process.

Comprehensive job training is provided for qualified candidates. The on-call position offers flexible hours from 7:45am to 4:15pm, five days a week, with no guaranteed schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. US Citizenship required for credentials at this location.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to speak and write in English.
• Ability to stand upright on one’s feet for scheduled shift duration, excluding meals and breaks.
• Ability to hold and grasp applicant’s hands to obtain quality fingerprints.
• Ability to work in a high paced environment with the public.
• Ability to type and use basic computer skills.
• Successful completion of the biometrics training and become certified within sixty days.

Responsibilities

• Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration to the United States.
• Ensure all who enter the ASC are approved applicants and visitors while providing crowd control and assisting staff in enforcing ASC rules and policies.
• Provide front-line customer service as representatives of Amentum and the United States Government.
• Provide the highest level of customer service in all responsibilities.
• Work with the public with a cheerful demeanor, manage applicants with sensitivity and respect as customers of the USCIS ASC.
• Safeguard Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and biometric data.
• Perform quality biometrics processing including fingerprints, photos, and signatures within processing times.
• Screen applicants to ensure valid appointment notices and identification for entry.
• Utilize crowd control barriers to ensure safe, organized entry.
• Inspect applicants and belongings; address health screening as required.
• Conduct periodic facility checks and report concerns to Site Supervisor.
• Assist Site Supervisor or Immigration Service Officer with contacting local authorities when necessary.
• Maintain administrative paperwork and visitor logs.
