Job summary

Blue Water Thinking, LLC seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician – Info/Sys to join our healthcare team in Grand Junction, CO. You will ensure reliability and safety of networked medical equipment, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and support cybersecurity and Cerner integration.

The role requires hospital experience, TCP/IP, HL7, DICOM familiarity, and the ability to train staff on equipment operation and safety.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree or higher in an applied science or equivalent military training.
• Minimum of three years hospital or healthcare experience in medical equipment maintenance, with at least one year in medical information systems and networking.
• Advanced knowledge of computer virus protection software and information security tools.
• Experience maintaining and interfacing networked medical equipment, TCP/IP, HL7, DICOM; VLANs, IP addressing and subnetting.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on networked medical equipment to ensure functionality and lifespan.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in medical devices following manufacturer guidelines.
• Carry out incoming inspections of new equipment for safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with IT/cybersecurity to maintain medical device security and patient data protection.
• Install, calibrate, and configure medical equipment per manufacturer instructions.
• Maintain CMMS records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
