Job summary

Blue Water Thinking is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician – Info/Sys to join our healthcare team in Leavenworth, KS. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on networked medical devices, support cybersecurity, and collaborate with IT to safeguard patient data while ensuring device reliability.

The role requires an associate degree or higher, 3+ years in healthcare device maintenance, and experience with TCP/IP, HL7, DICOM; Cerner EHR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree or higher in an applied science or equivalent military training.
• Minimum of three years hospital or healthcare experience performing medical equipment maintenance, with at least one year in medical information systems and networking.
• Knowledge of computer virus protection software, security tools, electronics, computers and network theory.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on networked medical equipment to ensure reliability.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions following manufacturer guidelines.
• Conduct incoming inspections of new equipment for safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to implement device security protocols.
