Job summary
Blue Water Thinking seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician – Info/Sys to join our Phoenix healthcare team. You will ensure reliability and safety of networked medical devices, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and support cybersecurity measures across systems.
Ideal candidates bring hospital experience, proficiency with Cerner EHR, and a strong background in TCP/IP, networking, and medical device interoperability to protect patient care and data integrity.
Qualifications
- 2-year associate degree or higher in an applied science or equivalent military training.
- Minimum 3 years hospital/healthcare equipment maintenance experience, 1 year in medical information systems/networking.
- Strong knowledge of virus protection software, patches, upgrades, and information security tools.
- Experience with TCP/IP, HL7, networking, security, and DICOM standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on networked medical equipment to ensure reliability.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions per manufacturer specs.
- Inspect incoming equipment for safety, functionality and accuracy.
- Collaborate with IT/cybersecurity to maintain medical device security.
