Job summary

Blue Water Thinking seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician – Info/Sys to ensure reliability and safety of networked medical equipment in a healthcare setting. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, and software updates, with a focus on cybersecurity and Cerner EHR integration.

You will install, calibrate, and configure devices, maintain CMMS records, and train staff on proper handling, while collaborating with IT and clinical teams to uphold patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree in a relevant science or equivalent military training.
• Experience in hospital or healthcare equipment maintenance is required.
• Strong background in computer/networking principles and information security tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on networked medical equipment to ensure reliability and safety.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions following manufacturer guidelines and specs.
• Inspect new equipment for safety and functionality before deployment.
• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to implement medical device security protocols.
