Job summary

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree or higher in an applied science or equivalent military training.
• Competency to perform verification, planned maintenance and repair on medical equipment.
• Familiarity with regulatory and ISO standards for medical devices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical literature, schematics and drawings.
• Minimum one year hospital or healthcare experience maintaining medical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on diverse medical equipment to ensure safety and reliability.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Conduct incoming inspections of new equipment for safety and function.
• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams on device security and data protection.
• Install, calibrate, and configure equipment per manufacturer instructions.
• Conduct electrical safety inspections and address potential hazards.
• Address hazard recalls and coordinate resolutions with manufacturers.
• Perform software updates and ensure compatibility with CMMS and hospital systems.
• Provide technical support and training to clinical staff.
• Maintain thorough maintenance records using CMMS.
