Job summary

Blue Water Thinking, LLC is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician – Info/Sys to join its Grand Junction healthcare team. You will ensure the reliability, functionality, and safety of networked medical equipment, performing preventive maintenance, software updates, and security enhancements while collaborating with IT and clinical staff.

The role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to patient care.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree or higher in an applied science or equivalent military training.
• Minimum of three years hospital or healthcare experience maintaining medical equipment.
• Experience with medical information systems and networking.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on networked medical equipment.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in medical devices.
• Conduct incoming inspections of new equipment for safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams for medical device security.
• Install, calibrate, and configure medical equipment per manufacturer specs.
• Address hazard and safety recalls with manufacturers and departments.
• Perform software repairs and updates on medical devices.
• Maintain CMMS records of maintenance activities.
