Job summary

Blue Water Thinking is seeking a skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician – Info/Sys to maintain networked medical devices and support cybersecurity, Cerner integration, and data security. The candidate should have an associate degree or higher, 3+ years in healthcare equipment maintenance, and experience with TCP/IP, VLANs, and DICOM. Salary ranges are competitive with benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical center or Biomedical Engineering department.
• Knowledge of computer security tools and information security concepts.
• Experience with networked medical equipment, VLANs, IP addressing, and DICOM standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on networked medical equipment.
• Collaborate with IT/cybersecurity to secure medical devices and patient data.
• Install, calibrate, and configure equipment per manufacturer specs.
• Maintain CMMS records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Provide staff training on proper use of networked equipment.
• Support Cerner EHR integration and related systems.
