Job summary

Thomson Reuters in Eagan, Minnesota is hiring a #3 Bindery Operator for the Core Publishing Solutions team. The role involves setup, operation, and troubleshooting of finishing equipment on the 2nd shift (2:30p-10:30p) with overtime possibilities. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered after 90 days in role.

You will perform material review, equipment setup, and quality checks while documenting activities in SAP/MII and contributing to safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical degree preferred.
• Good mechanical/technical troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently or with a team.
• Knowledge of Lean concepts and continuous improvement.
• Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and production orders.
• Experience with binding and finishing equipment listed above.
• Able to lift and carry light loads and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Review job specs for materials and setup requirements.
• Perform set-up tasks and monitor equipment.
• Troubleshoot product/equipment issues; obtain maintenance support as needed.
• Document activities in Tier Boards and systems (MII, SAP).
• Communicate effectively during shift hand-off.
• Participate in safety programs and continuous improvement ideas.
• Provide backup for other operators as needed.
• Recommending and implementing process improvements.
