Job summary

Thomson Reuters in Minnesota seeks a #3 Bindery Operator to perform set-up tasks, monitor equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure product quality on the Core Publishing Solutions team.

The role is 3rd shift (10:30pm–6:30am) with occasional overtime and weekend work; a $2,500 sign-on bonus is available after 90 days, plus a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• Good mechanical and technical skills with troubleshooting ability.
• Experience with Lean concepts and continuous improvement.
• Experience with measuring and rulers.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing job specifications for material and set-up requirements.
• Performing set-up tasks.
• Monitoring equipment and product quality; obtain maintenance support as needed.
• Troubleshooting related to product or equipment.
• Communicating during shift hand-off.
• Maintaining equipment condition and preventative maintenance.
• Using workflow applications to manage files.
• Document activities on Tier Boards and in systems (MII, SAP).
• Feeding, catching off, stacking, bundling or cycle counting.
• Participating in safety programs and promoting a safe culture.
• Meeting quality and productivity standards; implementing improvements.
• Participating in project teams and providing backup as needed.
• Recommending process improvements.
