Job summary

Stantec seeks a BIM Technician to join its Engineering team and support mechanical and electrical systems modeling for industrial and military projects. You will develop and maintain Revit MEP models, collaborate with engineers and designers, and help implement BIM standards and BEPs across projects.

You should have experience with HVAC, piping, electrical systems, and strong coordination skills to resolve clashes and ensure accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from technical college.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in architecture/engineering.
• Experience with HVAC and Plumbing drawings and models.
• Strong Revit MEP, Navisworks, and ACC/BIM 360 skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Bluebeam preferred.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical and electrical systems for industrial and military projects.
• Coordinate with disciplines to ensure clash-free model integration.
• Develop, maintain Revit models, templates, and content libraries.
• Create BIM Execution Plans and project standards.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure deliverables meet standards.
• Mentor technologists in MEP BIM best practices.
• Support BIM standards development and QA procedures.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and project phases.
