Job summary

Stantec is hiring a Mechanical Drafting professional to work with design engineers on producing drawings from sketches and existing plans. The role involves setting up Revit MEP projects, developing construction documentation, and contributing to BIM models in a team environment.

Requirements include a two-year technical degree or equivalent in CAD/BIM and at least two years of mechanical drafting experience. The job blends office work with potential field exposure and coordination across trades.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge or interest on MEP systems, with an emphasis on Mechanical installations.
• Understand drawing and modeling organization, detail, and precision.
• Positive attitude and a sense of teamwork.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Revit MEP.

Responsibilities

• Produce drawings from sketches, existing drawings and electronic images.
• Set up new Revit MEP projects based on templates.
• Develop construction documentation using Revit MEP under supervision.
• Develop construction models in Revit MEP as part of a BIM team.
• Create detailed field installation and fabrication drawings.
• Work from customer and firm drawings and manage files/versioning.
• Provide technical support and attend coordination meetings.
