Job summary

Stantec GS is seeking a BIM Technician to join their Engineering team. The role focuses on designing mechanical and electrical systems, building Revit models, and supporting BEP development per Stantec standards and codes.

Collaborate with engineers and designers, coordinate across disciplines, and advance BIM delivery with corporate standards. 2–3 years of HVAC/plumbing experience preferred, in industrial or military sectors, with Charlottesville/Hampton locations in Virginia.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from technical college.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in architectural/engineering/contractor industry.
• Experience working on HVAC and Plumbing drawings and models.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the design of building mechanical (HVAC and Plumbing) and electrical (Power and Lighting) systems for projects in the industrial and military sectors.
• Coordinate with engineering and architectural disciplines to ensure accurate and clash-free model integration.
• Develop, manage, and maintain Revit models, templates, and content libraries for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with project teams to create and implement BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project standards.
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical designs, models and drawings packages with other engineering/architectural disciplines as part of the complete design solutions.
• Mentor and train technologists in MEP Revit and BIM best practices.
