Job summary

Stantec is seeking a BIM Technician to support small to medium projects and larger teams on bigger projects. You will help set up models, manage files, and produce drawing documentation using Revit with attention to BIM standards.

Expect to perform clash detection, coordinate with project teams, and develop Revit content while contributing to training and process improvements. On-site work in LA region likely.

Qualifications

• Strong Revit knowledge and BIM fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Build Information Modeling concepts.
• Revit family creation and maintenance.
• Clash detection in Revit; Navisworks preferred.
• High initiative and client-focused approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Awareness of architectural/engineering field design processes.

Responsibilities

• Sets up new BIM models and maintains project file structure.
• Prepares drawing documentation with PMs and design staff.
• Works in Revit Structure on 3D projects and manages multiple models.
• Creates data files compliant with Stantec and client requirements.
• Converts markups to ready-to-deliver documents.
• Publishes and manages drawing sets, maintains revisions.
• Mentors design staff in Design Technology systems use.
• Identifies efficiencies and adds value to BIM production.
• Participates in meetings and training to expand knowledge.
