Red Coats Inc. is seeking a Billing Team Lead to oversee a fast-paced billing group, oversee T&M invoicing, and ensure timely submissions. You will allocate workload, train new hires, and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve billing issues.

The role emphasizes accuracy, reliability, and process improvements in a high-volume environment. Collaboration with project managers and finance is essential to maintain timely, auditable records.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of billing or accounts receivable experience preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong understanding of billing processes and invoice submission.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with ERP systems; Infor-Lawson and AS400 required; Workday a plus.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit invoices for T&M contracts accurately and on time.
• Review contract terms to ensure billing aligns with client agreements.
• Track billable hours, expenses, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers and internal teams to gather and verify billing data.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to client inquiries.
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation.
• Cross-train with Senior Accountant(s) on month-end-close tasks.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding billing status and invoice details.
• Train newly hired Billing Specialists; disperse workload across the team.
• Support system upgrades, data cleanup, and special projects.
