Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Billing Support Specialist to join our finance and operations team. You will drive timely and accurate invoicing, collaborate with Project Managers and stakeholders, and own the process improvements to billing workflows.

Key responsibilities include issuing invoices per customer schedules, resolving invoice inquiries, validating billing data, and communicating issues clearly with internal teams. The role emphasizes accuracy, analysis, and customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work overtime from the 1st through the 4th of each month.

Responsibilities

• Provide billing support to Project Managers by preparing and issuing invoices in accordance with customer requirements and project billing schedules.
• Respond to billing inquiries and resolve invoice-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Review billing information for accuracy and ensure compliance with customer guidelines and internal processes.
• Utilize strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot billing discrepancies and recommend solutions.
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding billing matters.
