Job summary

Toppan Merrill is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our Sartell, MN team. You will prepare accurate client invoices, analyze billing data, validate pricing, and collaborate across departments to ensure financial accuracy and excellent service.

Responsibilities include reviewing contracts, applying pricing grids, auditing invoices, and supporting month-end activities. Onsite schedule, with standard business hours and occasional required on the 2nd Wednesday monthly.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, or related experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles including debits, credits, invoicing, and revenue recognition.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Gather project-related costs, apply client-specific pricing, and generate standard and complex client invoices.
• Review contracts, pricing grids, production documentation, and supporting records for billing accuracy and compliance.
• Proof and audit invoices for quality control, ensuring consistency and accuracy across billing transactions.
• Apply taxes, freight charges, prepayments, credits, and rebills as required.
• Process monthly summary invoices and maintain assigned client billing accounts.
• Collaborate with Client Services, Production Services, Accounting, and other internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies and obtain invoice approvals.
• Prepare billing reports and support month-end revenue recognition activities.
• Respond professionally and timely to billing inquiries while maintaining a strong customer service focus.
