Job summary

ChicknLegs is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist to support the financial operations of our fast-growing company. You’ll work closely with our founder and accountant to ensure invoices, payments, purchase orders, and records are handled accurately and efficiently as we scale.

• Prior experience in AP/AR, billing, or bookkeeping.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

• Manage AP: process vendor bills and expenses on time.
• Input and manage retailer purchase orders accurately.
• Maintain organized digital and paper financial records.
• Assist with reconciliations and other bookkeeping tasks.
• Communicate professionally with vendors, retailers, and internal teams about billing inquiries.
• Support the accounting and leadership teams with finance-related projects.

The role

We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist to help support the financial operations of our fast-growing company.

You’ll work closely with our founder and accountant to help ensure invoices, payments, purchase orders, and records are handled accurately and efficiently as we continue to scale.

• Manage accounts receivable (AR), including sending invoices, processing payments, and following up on outstanding balances
• Manage accounts payable (AP), ensuring vendor bills and expenses are processed and paid on time
• Input and manage retailer purchase orders accurately and efficiently
• Maintain organized digital and paper financial records
• Assist with reconciliations and other bookkeeping-related tasks as needed
• Communicate professionally with vendors, retailers, and internal team members regarding billing and payment inquiries
• Support the accounting and leadership teams with additional operational and finance-related projects as needed

Ideal Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, bookkeeping, or similar financial operations roles
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or NetSuite major plus
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Self-starter mindset with a proactive, problem-solving attitude
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Customer-focused and team-oriented approach
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
