Job summary

Tactical Distributors is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our finance team in Virginia Beach, VA. This hands-on role supports the company’s day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial recordkeeping, and month-end close activities.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of accounting experience, strong knowledge of accounting principles, and experience with NetSuite and Excel.

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial processes.
• Experience using NetSuite or a comparable ERP system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, including reviewing, coding, verifying, and entering invoices into the accounting system.
• Reconcile vendor statements and research and resolve discrepancies.
• Reconcile credit card transactions and ensure expenses are accurately allocated.
• Assist with preparing and processing payment runs, including ACH and check payments, in accordance with company policies.
• Manage accounts receivable billing, payment application, and collection activities for an assigned subsidiary.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including invoices, payments, and correspondence.
• Collaborate with internal teams to obtain approvals and confirm proper expense coding.
• Monitor shared accounting inboxes and respond to vendor and internal inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including preparing reports and recording accruals.
• Support financial audits and compliance with internal controls and company policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and assist with implementing solutions.

Tactical Distributors is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. This hands-on position supports the company’s day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial recordkeeping, and month-end close activities.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting processes and enjoys working in a fast-paced ecommerce environment. Success in this role requires accuracy, responsiveness, and the ability to work effectively with vendors and internal teams. This position will work out of our office in Virginia Beach, VA and the pay will be $18-$22/hr depending on experience.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring
