Backdrop.com is seeking a detail-loving Staff Accountant who thrives on spreadsheets and precision to help balance, close, and report financials across multiple brands.

In this role you’ll reconcile bank accounts, own AP and AR processes, record journal entries, and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial statement experience.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank accounts and manage weekly cash reporting.
• Own AP: bills, credit cards, coding, and payments (checks, wires, ACH).
• Handle invoicing, cash applications, and AR follow-ups.
• Record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Reconcile the general ledger and investigate variances.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Assist with financial statements (GAAP).
• Prep 1099s, audits, and compliance reporting.
• Support tax filings and special projects.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring
