Cox Automotive is seeking a Billing Specialist I to handle inbound inquiries by phone and email and manage first-line customer contact. You will process invoices, credits, and adjustments, maintain customer accounts, and ensure accurate billing information while collaborating with internal teams.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED with 2+ years of billing experience in a customer-facing role.
• Ability to articulate issues, document resolution, and recognize when to escalate.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Effective accounting, organizational, and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process billing transactions, invoices, credits, and adjustments on time.
• Set up and maintain customer accounts within billing systems.
• Review, verify, and audit billing information for accuracy.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries.
• Post payments and adjustments to customer accounts.
• Monitor billing reports and identify exceptions or issues.
• Assist with collections activities and payment tracking.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing concerns.
• Maintain records and supporting documentation.
• Follow billing policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support process improvements to enhance billing efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
