Job summary

Abacus is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Administrator to manage client invoicing, payment tracking, collections, and billing support. You will ensure accurate financial records, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with internal teams and clients to maintain efficient billing operations.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of billing or accounts receivable experience, strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, and proficiency with Excel and billing software.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Business or related field preferred.
• 2–4 years of billing, accounts receivable, or related accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with invoicing, payment reconciliation, collections, and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and billing/accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process client invoices, ensuring accuracy of billing details and WIP records.
• Review daily receipts and apply payments accurately, resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Manage billing inquiries and communicate with clients and internal teams via email, phone, and Teams.
• Monitor accounts receivable, generate aging reports, and follow up on outstanding invoices.
• Process collection records, client refunds, and billing adjustments with proper documentation.
• Review and resolve outstanding WIP items, prepayments, and account discrepancies.
• Collaborate across departments to improve billing workflows and ensure policy compliance.
• Assist with staff training on billing procedures and best practices.
