Job summary

RethinkFirst seeks a Reconciliation Specialist to support our billing services by reconciling therapy session reimbursements and posting payments across multiple platforms. You will ensure HIPAA confidentiality, review EOBs/ERAs, and collaborate with CBA/AR teams to resolve discrepancies.

The role requires a HS Diploma or Equivalent and 1–2 years of payment posting experience, with familiarity in insurance portals and billing software. Remote opportunities available in select states.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent
• 1–2 years payment posting experience
• ABA experience
• Experience using insurance company websites/portals
• Professional phone skills
• Attention to detail, critical thinking and excellent communication with internal teams and insurance companies

Responsibilities

• Ensure HIPAA confidentiality with all client-related data
• Reconcile payments posted electronically from the clearinghouse
• Post manual payments in billing platforms (Rethink, Tebra, Azalea)
• Review and interpret EOBs and ERAs
• Post payments from insurance portals
• Enroll in ERAs to reduce manual postings and monitor enrollment progress
• Communicate trends identified to CBA/AR team for the client
• Identify underpayments/overpayments and coordinate resolution
• Measure and monitor key metrics related to work performance
• Review and interpret payor contracts when applicable
• Foster a positive work environment for colleagues
• Handle special projects as needed
