Job summary

RethinkFirst is hiring a Reconciliation Specialist to support our billing teams. You will work with insurance companies to ensure accurate reimbursement for therapy sessions and post payments across multiple billing platforms.

Responsibilities include interpreting EOBs/ERAs, enrolling in ERAs, and identifying payment variances while maintaining strict confidentiality and collaborating with the AR team.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years payment posting experience.
• ABA experience.
• Experience using insurance company portals.
• Willing to learn, positive attitude and loves a good challenge.
• Professional phone skills.
• Attention to detail, critical thinking and communication with internal teams and insurance companies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HIPAA-compliant confidentiality with all client data.
• Reconcile payments posted electronically from the clearinghouse.
• Post manual payments in billing platforms (Rethink, Tebra, Azalea).
• Review and interpret EOBs and ERAs.
• Post payments from insurance portals.
• Enroll in ERAs to reduce manual posting and monitor enrollment progress.
• Communicate trends identified when posting to AR team.
• Identify underpayments/overpayments and coordinate with POD members for resolution.
• Measure and monitor key performance metrics related to work performance.
• Review payor contracts when applicable.
• Foster a positive work environment for colleagues.
• Handle special projects as needed.
