Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a Reconciliation Specialist to support our billing teams by reconciling therapy session reimbursements and posting payments across multiple billing platforms. You will work closely with insurance companies and our billing team to ensure accurate accounts receivable and timely reimbursements.

The role requires HIPAA-conscious handling of data, attention to detail, and strong communication with internal teams and insurers.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years of payment posting experience or related billing work.
• ABA experience is preferred.
• Experience using insurance company portals/websites.
• Professional phone skills and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HIPAA-compliant confidentiality with all client data.
• Reconcile electronically posted payments from the clearinghouse.
• Post manual payments in all billing platforms.
• Review and interpret EOBs and ERAs.
• Post payments from insurance portals and enroll in ERAs when applicable.
• Communicate trends to the AR team for client accounts.
• Identify underpayments/overpayments and coordinate resolutions.
• Monitor key performance metrics for workload efficiency.
• Review payor contracts when applicable.
• Support a positive work environment and assist special projects.
