Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a Reconciliation Specialist to support our billing teams by reconciling therapy session reimbursements with insurance providers. You will post payments across multiple platforms and analyze EOBs/ERAs to ensure accurate accounts receivable, while maintaining strict confidentiality of client data.

Bring 1–2 years of payment posting experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication. Remote opportunities are available in AZ and other states.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1–2 years payment posting experience required.
• ABA experience preferred.
• Experience using insurance portals/websites.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HIPAA-compliant confidentiality with all client data.
• Reconcile payments posted from the clearinghouse.
• Post manual payments in billing platforms (Rethink, Tebra, Azalea).
• Review and interpret EOBs and ERAs.
• Post payments from insurance portals.
• Enroll in ERAs when applicable to reduce manual posting and monitor enrollment requests.
• Communicate trends identified to AR team for client.
• Identify underpayments/overpayments and coordinate resolutions.
• Monitor key performance metrics.
