Qualifications

• Leadership/supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of accounting practices including billing, AR, AP and cash management
• Experience in transportation or logistics preferred
• Proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

Responsibilities

• Coordinates scheduling, backup coverage and allocating team members to specific tasks based on the department's needs
• Maintains levels of productivity through self-direction, goal setting, feedback and accountability.
• Analyzes and evaluates issues to identify root cause with emphasis on streamlining and automation
• Mentors team members to develop their technical abilities
• Creates, improves, and documents processes
• Develops and reports metric information to management
• Uses billing software including Merlin/MCLeod, Cargowise, and Deposco for domestic, international, and warehouse billing
• Ensures accuracy and timeliness of billing to support DSO and timely collections
• Resolves billing discrepancies in collaboration with AR/Collections and Billing Analysts
• Interfaces with Sales, Warehousing, Accounts Receivable, Credit, Collections, and Accounts Payable teams
• Fosters strong communication with internal and external customers
