Job summary

RRD is seeking a Billing Supervisor to lead the financial support services team in a fast-paced professional services environment. You will supervise staffing, ensure timely billing, and manage accounts receivable while maintaining high client satisfaction.

You will coordinate with law firms and internal stakeholders, optimize workflows, and support P&L considerations. Strong communication and leadership are essential to drive performance and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising billing in a professional services environment preferred.
• Minimum five years of billing experience in a law-firm or professional organization required. Six years or more preferred.
• Demonstrates proficiency with 3E, Elite, or Aderant and an industry standard collection software tool.
• Demonstrates proficiency with MS Excel spreadsheets, including pivot tables, charts and graphs; proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Supervise financial support services employees to ensure quality service delivery.
• Supervise staffing and workflow volumes; allocate staffing by shift or service line.
• Ensure that billing workloads are appropriately weighted and balanced.
• Responsible for employee lifecycle including interviewing, onboarding, training, development, planning for key roles, and off-boarding management.
• Identify areas for additional training to ensure skill levels are uniformly excellent.
• Monitor client inventory balances and ensure timely billing and follow-up on accounts receivable.
• Ensure compliance with workflow processes for unbilled and AR balances from proforma through invoice collection.
• Serve as initial point of contact and aid team members with daily questions and concerns.
• Respond to customer inquiries timely and professionally; communicate solutions to avoid issues; resolve client escalations.
• Maintain knowledge of client billing and payment terms and discounts.
• Execute administrative reports related to people and production on time and to standards.
• Support manager with P&L by understanding overtime and time-off impact.
• Ensure E-Billed invoices are transferred to e-billing vendor promptly.
• Ensure team compliance with policies, SLAs, and quality expectations; use corrective action when needed.
• Work with manager to create development plans and challenging assignments for team members.
• Enable team members to set goals, priorities, and provide regular feedback and meetings.
• May support materials for CSR or QBRs; understand client businesses and impact of services.
• Foster cross-training and teamwork to optimize service delivery.
