Job summary

IMEG Corporation in Fairfax, VA seeks a Billing Specialist to lead project initiation, setup, and client billing within a 100% ESOP environment. You will liaise between teams and Accounting, review contracts, and manage timesheets, expenses, and sub-contractor invoices.

The role emphasizes accurate billing, client communication, and maintaining confidentiality across a national practice. Hybrid schedule and travel up to 10% are included.

Qualifications

• 2-year post-high school education or equivalent.
• Experience in the engineering and/or the construction industry is preferred.
• Prior billing experience and knowledge of Deltek-Vantagepoint or similar software is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project initiation and setup in Vision, ensuring contract terms and contacts are accurate.
• Review new project contracts for unusual terms or structures affecting billings.
• Request billing information from team members and review for accuracy.
• Prepare monthly client billings for team projects, reviewing for accuracy.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid amounts.
• Manage communication with clients regarding commercial matters.
• Develop working relationships with Client Execs and team members.
• Review and approve timesheets and expense reports for team members.
• Enter sub consultant invoices and track payment terms for approval.
• Meet with assigned teams at their primary office location at least two times a year.
• Maintain confidentiality of all corporate, personnel and project/client material.
