Job summary

IMEG Corporation is hiring a Billing Specialist in Rock Island, IL to act as the primary liaison between project teams and the Accounting Department. You will manage team billing, accounts receivable, project setup, timesheets, and subcontractor invoices while maintaining confidential information and supporting a national professional-services firm.

Qualifications

• Experience in the engineering and/or construction industry preferred.
• Prior billing experience and knowledge of Deltek-Vantagepoint or similar software preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer service mindset.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to read contracts and follow contract requirements regarding commercial terms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to travel up to 10% with occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project initiation and setup in Vision, ensuring contract terms are accurate.
• Review new contracts for unusual terms or structures that may affect billings.
• Request billing information from team members and review for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare monthly client billings and review for accuracy.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid amounts.
• Manage client communications regarding commercial matters.
• Review and approve timesheets and expense reports.
