Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

This position reports directly to the Billing and Collections Supervisor and involves all aspects of billing and collections, including preparing draft bills, editing bills per attorney instructions, submitting invoices to clients and third-party vendors, monitoring collections, and following up as needed. The role requires excellent organizational skills, knowledge of Excel, and attention to detail. Building strong relationships with colleagues, attorneys, and clients is essential.

Responsibilities include:

1. Generate proformas and draft bills.
2. Edit time and cost entries as requested by billing attorneys, following client guidelines and firm policies.
3. Apply split payor percentages correctly to final draft invoices.
4. Collaborate on production and distribution of finalized invoices.
5. E-bill invoices via various websites and systems.
6. Monitor e-bills for reductions and rejections, and resolve issues.
7. Review cash receipts and provide allocation instructions.
8. Monitor escrow client balances and report on fund usage.
9. Maintain records of cash receipts in various systems.
10. Track payments toward invoices, report owed amounts, and follow up.
11. Compile status reports and escalate billing and collection issues.
12. Assist team members as needed.
13. Maintain PRISM databases and other related activities.
14. Perform other tasks and reports as needed.
