Responsibilities:

As a Lead AR Billing & Collections Specialist, you will oversee and optimize the revenue cycle process for Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and Physical Therapy (PT) clients. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing the billing and collections process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Overseeing timely submission of medical claims and following up on outstanding accounts receivable (AR).
  • Identifying and resolving denied or rejected claims, managing appeals and disputes.
  • Mentoring and supporting the billing team to ensure success.
  • Analyzing revenue cycle performance to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and payer requirements.
  • Collaborating with clinical and finance teams to resolve billing issues.
  • Training and onboarding new billing team members.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • 4+ years of recent AR medical billing, collections, or revenue cycle management experience (required).
  • Familiarity with Raintree EMS software (preferred).
  • Leadership experience or mentoring skills are a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to handle complex insurance and reimbursement processes.
