Job summary

NeighborHealth in Boston is seeking a part-time Patient Access Coordinator to be the welcoming first point of contact for patients in the Registration department. You will book, cancel, and check out appointments, verify insurance, and collect accurate information to ensure a superior patient experience.

The role requires at least two years in health care, MassHealth experience, and a High School Diploma or GED. Bilingual Spanish/English abilities are required.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in health care and/or with MassHealth insurances.
• Ability to book, cancel, reschedule, and check out appointments with accuracy.
• Bilingual Spanish/English required to assist diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments for all patients as requested by patients or providers.
• Answer phones in a polite and courteous manner and route to the clinical team as needed.
• Verify insurance in advance and at the point of service.
• Assist patients with recalls, check-in/out, and data entry for the Registration team.
