Cone Health Medical Group is seeking a Patient Access Advocate to be the first point of contact in the front office. You will assist patients with registration, verify demographics and insurance information, and handle pre-authorization steps as needed to support accurate billing and scheduling.

This role emphasizes delivering a welcoming guest experience while ensuring timely completion of pre and post-appointment tasks and maintaining compliance with office procedures and policies.

Competenze

• Experience in medical office settings preferred.
• Customer service and administrative tasks in a front office.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and billing processes helpful.

Mansioni

• Assist patients through registration by verifying demographics and insurance for accurate billing.
• Collect and post co-pays, process payments, and review records for bad debt.
• Adhere to No Surprise Act requirements.
• Maintain cash drawer and prepare daily deposits; follow close procedures.
• Follow clinic scheduling guidelines for a single clinic.
• Return referrals and testing appointments.
• Handle calls, messages, voicemail, and email; coordinate follow-ups as needed.
• Obtain pre-certification as needed and notify coordinator for follow-up.
• Create a positive guest experience through Steps of Service protocols.
• Provide general clerical support: paperwork, records, faxes, scans, filing, mail new patient packets, and contacting new patients the day before their appointment.
• Adhere to no-show policy and send letters/documents for no-shows promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
