Job summary

NeighborHealth, founded as East Boston Neighborhood Health Center, seeks a Customer Access Coordinator to serve as the patient liaison in the Registration department. You will book, cancel, and reschedule appointments, greet patients, and ensure accurate information capture to provide an outstanding experience.

Responsibilities include checking out appointments, handling phone lines, documenting encounters and referrals, and using Epic EMR to access needed information.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year customer service and/or administrative experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, judgement and problem solving skills.
• Bilingual fluency Spanish/English required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR experience a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Check-out appointments and create follow up visits or recalls.
• Book, cancel and/or reschedule appointments for patients walking in.
• Answer phones.
• Document telephone encounters or RX refill requests and route appropriately.
• Navigate and document in the Electronic Medical Record (Epic).
