Job summary

NeighborHealth is seeking a part-time Coordinator Patient Access in East Boston, MA. You will be a courteous liaison for patients, handling scheduling, check-out, and information capture with a focus on timely, accurate patient experiences.

The role requires at least two years in healthcare, bilingual Spanish/English, and CAC certification. Schedule includes Saturdays and Sundays, 4pm–12am, supporting the Registration department and clinical teams.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in health care and/or MassHealth with focus on patient experience.
• Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork in a patient-facing role.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mentor new and existing registration staff.
• Orient and train staff to department policies and workflow.
• Schedule appointments for all patients as requested by the patient or provider.
• Set up recalls for returning patients as instructed by the provider.
• Answer phone calls politely and identify department.
• Assist patients who walk in with symptoms and forward to clinical team.
• Manage incoming/outgoing in-basket messages.
• Create telephone encounters for non-urgent concerns with clinical follow-up.
• Scrub schedules for outstanding arrived appointments and complete checkout.
• Utilize Dental/Optical software as required by department.
• Verify insurance in advance and on the day of service.
