Job summary

NorthTexas Therapy & Home Care in Texas is seeking a licensed SLPA to join our pediatrics-focused team. You will provide speech therapy services in patients' homes or daytime facilities, following physician orders and under supervision.

This role requires current Texas SLPA licensure, at least 6 months of full-time clinical experience with pediatric patients, and bilingual Spanish ability. Home health experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions per physician orders.
• Provides services in patients' home or daytime facility.
• Schedules weekly supervision visits with supervising SLP per Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborates with disciplines to plan goals for each patient.
• Plans care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
• Updates knowledge through education, reading, networking, and professional involvement.
• Enhances reputation by taking initiative and adding value.

Responsibilities:

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders


• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility


• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines


• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient


• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions


• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.


• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
