Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a bilingual SLPA to provide pediatric speech therapy services in clients' homes or daytime facilities, under physician orders.

Texas SLPA licensure is required; 6 months of full-time clinical experience and pediatrics experience are needed. Home health experience is preferred.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, schedule supervision, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Pediatrics experience preferred.
• 6 months of full-time clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Provides services in the patients' home or daytime facility.
• Schedules weekly supervision visits with supervising SLP per Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborates with disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient.
• Plans care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
• Keeps current with professional knowledge through education and reading.

Requirements

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility
• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
